JAKKS Pacific, Inc. Vendor Code of Conduct

JAKKS Pacific Inc. and Its Subsidiaries and Divisions Modern Slavery Act and Transparency in Supply Chain Statement
January 1, 2018

The UK Modern Slavery Act of 2015 and the California Transparency in Supply Chains Act of 2010 require retailers and manufacturers doing business, in whole or part, in the UK and in California to disclose their efforts to eradicate slavery and human trafficking in their business and direct supply chain.

JAKKS’ actions to eradicate slavery and human trafficking include:

  1. Incorporating into its supplier agreements standards which a) prohibit its suppliers from engaging in slavery and human trafficking, b) require the suppliers to provide a safe and healthy work environment for all workers and comply with all local and national employment laws, and c) require that suppliers represent and warrant that they will not engage in any slavery or human trafficking.
  2. Using internal staff (without the use of a third party auditor) to assess its supply chain compliance with the foregoing. If JAKKS learns of or suspects any such violation by a supplier, it will audit the supplier and, if a violation is found, require the supplier to provide an action plan to achieve compliance. JAKKS will terminate its relationship with any supplier that fails to timely correct violations within a reasonable time period.

JAKKS’ internal policies detail its commitment to respecting human rights in its operations and business relationships, including the supply chain. JAKKS is committed to adhering to the highest ethical standards in the conduct of its business and endeavors to operate in full compliance with all applicable laws and regulations, and requires its suppliers to conduct their business and operations in accordance with these standards. Employees and contractors working within the JAKKS supply chain also are required to comply with these policies and those who violate the policies are subject to disciplinary action up to and including termination.

JAKKS is fully committed to the protection of human rights and has a zero tolerance policy for illegal child labor, forced labor and all other forms of human exploitation and unacceptable treatment of workers. JAKKS is also committed to regularly reviewing and improving our approach to ensure that slavery and human trafficking does not occur in our business or supply chain. JAKKS will only conduct business with organizations that respect human rights and are fair to their employees. Concerns may be reported anonymously via email to [email protected].
